Top quality promotional products vs their poorly made equivalent

We know about the many benefits of using promotional products for your brand image, perception, awareness and promotion. They not only help to build your brand but also encourage customer’s loyalty and strengthen its presence on the market. They often serve as your business card, your formal representation. The question here is how would you like your brand to be perceived?

Quality and price

Promotional products vary in terms of functionality, quality and price.  They are a huge part of any company’s marketing strategy. But just because two products may technically fall under the main category of “promotional products” does not mean that they are equally effective. For example, a cheap plastic pen is far different in quality from a built-to-last power bank, but both are considered promotional products. Which product would you rather use to represent your brand?

Cheaper isn’t always better!

Especially when it comes to your company promotional products. Whilst using cheap promotional products to promote your brand seems to be budget friendly it could actually damage your whole marketing strategy. Because they serve as a reflection of your company, you don’t want to give away cheap, breakable or poorly made products- you want to show quality.

Apply same standards to promotional items as to your brand

Your brand identity is unique and particular to your business. Your identity is made up of many components, such as your company culture and values but also your logo, typeface, colours and so on. Companies spend large amounts of money incorporating their brand standards into collateral, websites, signs and other marketing pieces.

The cheaper and lower quality products you use, the more difficult it could be to make the branding elements look good!

What could go wrong?

  • The visual quality of the imprint or print
  • The available colours may not match your brand’s colours
  • The product itself may be faulty, break after one use or worse look really tacky

If the promotional products you purchased have any of those issues, the result will inevitably reflect poorly on your brand.

Don’t sacrifice quality for cost

Consider the stats from a recent study by the PPAI:

  • 88%of respondents recalled the advertiser from a promotional product they received in the past 12 months.
  • 52% did business with the advertiser after receiving a promotional product.
  • 55% kept their promotional products for over a year.
  • 52.1% reported that their impression of an advertiser was more favourable after receiving a promotional product.

These statistics should inspire us to pick promotional products worthy of our brand because the success couldn’t be achieved with cheap, low-quality promotional products. However, this is not to say that you can’t find high-quality items that are also cost-effective. Find our high-quality top-notch promotional products that don’t sacrifice quality for the price!
