Promotional Merchandise and Printing/Design company is looking for an experienced sales person to help develop sales to marketing departments in a targeted manner. 
 

The company has been trading for over 40 years, is small enough (21 staff) to tailor the services to individual clients' needs and provide exceptional level of support. 
 

The product range is virtually limitless, from rugby balls to confectionery; posters to personalised mailshots - making us a one stop shop for clients' marketing needs. 
 

An ideal candidate must be able to show a stable employment record within a sales environment; show a certain amount of creativity and be hungry for success.

The ideal candidate would have 3+ years sales experience within the promotional merchandise industry with one employer. More years, the better. 

 

The job role would involve: 

1) Calling targeted companies based on A) industry B) exhibitions attending C) size and geographical location
2) Arranging appointments
3) Generating leads and presenting quotations via email/in writing and possibly in person
4) Helping decide upon marketing plans
5) Following up quotes
6) Obtaining buyers names and contact details
7) And other sales related matters

The individual would need to be bright and bubbly on the phone in order to build up an ongoing rapport with prospects. Although some existing clients will be passed over after a short period, most of the job will be finding and developing new business. Some print knowledge would be helpful.
