bpma goes into the regions

The bpma has appointed nine regional directors following its decision to strengthen its presence and introduce networking events into regions across the UK.

Tailored events will enable the association to reach out to its existing members as well as potential members with a range of different activities – with a split between some business focussed and some social events. All the events will bring members together and build a stronger networking organisation.

Gordon Glenister, Director General of the bpma, commented: “We have been planning this project for some time and I am delighted that we are at the stage that we can now really move this forward.

Each of our regional directors come with a wealth of experience and expertise and will add real value to the association and what we offer our members.”

“The nine regions we are initially strengthening include the North East, where we will be assisted by promotional distributors including Christine Hesketh of Autograph Promotions, the North West by Peter Hackin of Silk Promotions; Craig Sibbald, of Creative Promotions in Scotland; Mike Monk of Monk Marketing (South East including London); Emma Beeson of Tomato Source (South West); Dawn Koffler, Redbows (Wales); Elliot Sampson, Heartlands Business Gifts (Midlands), Les Wright, Falcon Promotions(East Anglia), and Killian O‟Sullivan of the Merchandise Factory in Ireland.”

Emma Beeson commented: “ The bpma must ensure it engages with its members on a national and a local level. And I am delighted therefore that the bpma is in the process of implementing its Regional Plan. It‟s a welcome addition to the benefits the bpma offers its members, and I am thoroughly supportive of the drive forward. “

Gordon continued: “These events which will start in the Summer and Autumn will allow members to engage, learn, network and socialise together in a relaxed and supportive environment. Educational seminars will help members, and we will work closely with other trade associations who have a regional structure in place, most notably the Chartered Institute of Marketing. And there will be an emphasis on supporting „British made‟ product, with business to business links to local producers”
