Up to £1,000 Train to gain funding available for the bpma Academy Certificate in Promotional Merchandise.

Enrolment for the September Course is open. In take for new members of staff and office juniors and administrators and business owners is high.


Government funding of up to £1000 is available for the bpma Academy, Certificate in Promotional Merchandise by applying through your local Train to Gain or Business Link Team. As we are entering the start of the academic year demand for funding from eligible companies is at its peak. The bpma advise all members and non members wishing to enrol on the September course to apply for the funding as soon as possible to secure the funding and avoid the last minute rush in September.


If you are a business owner with 5 to 250 employees, a director or a key manager reporting to a Director, you could be eligible for up to £1,000 funding to enroll on the bpma Academy course, through the Leadership & Management grant through the Train to Gain initiative. The Leadership and Management grant is specifically aimed at supporting leaders and senior managers to enhance their business-building and leadership skills with the aim of fostering greater business growth.


 The Academy Certificate in Promotional Merchandise was launched by the bpma in September 2008 and underlines the associations ongoing commitment to drive best practice through staff development ensuring quality of service to clients is maintained to the highest possible standard. Academy student Allison Holland from Brightkidz comments…'This course can help you to become more knowledgeable, confident and professional in your work in the promotional merchandise industry.'


Over 120 people have passed the Certificate in Promotional Merchandise. Emma Brady, Allwag Promotions, who graduated in 2009 “I feel the Course opened my eyes to new areas within the promotional industry that I don't usually get involved with. I have been able to use my training immediately in my role at Allwag Promotions which shows how worthwhile it has been." 


Adrian Ferrand, the bpma’s Director of Education, says: “As the industry starts to recover from the recession, companies must invest for the future – and the greatest single investment they can make is in the quality of their people. After all, they’re the ones who make things happen. Enhancing the skills and training of staff through the BPMA Academy gives extra reassurance to all of our customers. And judging from the quality of graduates, the future of the industry will be in safe hands.”
