bpma Board strengthens its team with 2 new appointments

Simon Patnick

The bpma have are pleased to welcome 2 new directors, Gerry Thomas, (Plastech Print ) and Simon Patnick (Merchandise Mania) to the board . Both individuals offer a wealth of experience to the industry. Simon is current MD of multiple award winning Merchandise Mania based in Borehamwood and member of the Page group. Simon started his career with Inwear/Matinique, moving to Morgan and then Chief Operating Officer at BBUK. Simon is also a member of the Academy of Chief Executives. 

Patnick commented on his appointment "I am delighted to be joining the board of bpma at such an exciting and progressive time for our industry."

Gerry Thomas has been involved in the stationery and promotional merchandise industry for over 30 years. He is the MD of Plastech Print based in Nottingham. Gerry previously held the post of Treasurer on the Promota Board. "I am passionate about this industry and excited about supporting the bpma in its vision for a strong professional promotional merchandise industry " commented Thomas.

Gill Thorpe, Chair of the bpma, commented “I am delighted to add these two very experienced individuals on our board, adding to both our supplier and distributor representation. The bpma has added a further 40 new members to its June figures, a record for the Association. We have shown ourselves to be forward thinking with a board of top industry players (supplier & distributor) whose input and expertise is invaluable and enables us to continually move the association from strength to strength. The board are fortunate to be supported by Gordon Glenister and the fantastic team at the bpma secretariat whose friendly and proactive approach makes us the association that our members are happy to turn to for support, advice and help."
