Yash Bespoke clothing - New member interview

New BPMA members Yash Bespoke Clothing are bringing a unique offering to the promotional merchandise marketplace.

The company – established for more than 15 years – is focused on developing its potential in the “huge” promotional merchandise market.

With its own factory in the United Arab Emirates, Yash Bespoke Clothing has traditionally dealt with household High Street retail names.

However, under the leadership of sales director of Trudi Duncombe, the company scaled down its operations three years ago and started up a division aimed specifically at the promotional merchandise sector.

Trudi, who comes from a work-wear and corporate-wear background, says the tailored nature of their offering means that, though this year’s trading will be hard, they are still hoping to exceed last year’s performance.

She said: “We can offer a bespoke, fully decorated garment, within the same timescales as an off the shelf service.  This secures repeat business for the distributor.  We are not flooding the market with this service, as we would like our distributors to benefit fully from this unique service.  We never deal direct with trade, and work with our distributors to build their business.

“Our distributors work with end users in relation to promotional markets, however they could provide uniforms for staff, and can increase sales by discussing work-wear needs within their existing account base.

“We value BPMA membership and want to work with other members to increase their account bases and help grow their business, and in turn ours.  We feel that good working ethics and building relationships with our working partners will bear fruit in the short-term and maintain business in the long-term.”

Trudi added that the potential for the company within the sector was “huge”.

“We also have an in-house studio, whereby we receive a brief from a distributor and design garments, ranges, corporate schemes and so on free of charge,” she said.

Yash Bespoke Clothing have just returned from a successful exhibition at the
‘ Union Show ‘ in the Telford International Centre and have also launched a new website to help explain their ‘ Bespoke Clothing ‘ service in more detail.
