“I came away from Friday's seminar inspired, informed, engaged and with a huge sense of support from the BPMA - it gave me so much more than I was expecting! And it was fun to meet other new members and share experiences and even the possibility of doing business together. I originally thought that the BPMA was there to help buyers find vetted suppliers and that becoming a member meant that all we got was the badge of endorsement. I realised how wrong I was after spending 3 engaging hrs being introduced to the extensive service and network support that the BPMA gives all of its members. It was so much more than just a 'top tips' seminar - the BPMA really is an invaluable source of knowledge about the pr omotional merchandise industry, it brings experience and expertise one can not get from working on one's own business in isolation, gives business insight, support and guidance for new business owners or developers. A course of this nature at a local government seminar would cost the equivalent of your membership fee - definitely worth its weight in gold! And the advice of such an experience industry body is pr iceless. When running your own business it is often too easy to think you know your business better than anyone else - but it's not what you know, it's doing something with that knowledge which is the hard part. And the BPMA seminar made me realise that they are there to help our business develop and grow - for the benefit of the industry as a whole. I walked away with inspiration to put many of the words of advice into action.” “We found the BPMA New Members seminar very helpful indeed. I would recommend it to anyone new to the industry or new to business as it covers so many basic areas and allows interaction with more experienced companies represented at the seminar. For those who have been in the business for some time I would still recommend it for two reasons. Firstly, there will pr obably be some new ideas or fresh ways of doing things. Secondly, there may be an element of repeating the obvious. Fine but if you are not doing it and it applies to your business then maybe it is a wake up call to do something about it. I see this as part of the new and dynamic ap pr oach being taken by the BPMA to raise awareness and standards in our industry.”
